Get your grades up at CC , and then transfer. At least get 24 hours of CC credit. nikkas always talk about how CC ain't like the real thing , and its too easy. If that's the case , get an easy 3.5 at CC then transfer and get some scholarships. You taking all the same classes anyway your first couple years. Be smart , blackbrotha.

You're right my friend. But at the same time i know my limits. And if i stay here i wont be able to reach my full potential. They talking about I got to get a job to help with the bills, ok cool. Then my moms telling me i have to pay her to be on her insurance if i want a ride to the school, on top of that the other money i do make goes to the grocceries and shyt :rudy:

Even then, im like umm ite... Until they finally tell my to change my schedule at and take all my classes in one day. At that point im like ::childplease:
From now on Ima just make my own decisions, whether they're bad or not. I feel like even if i do have to pay off college loans by going to a university, i'll still have a good career if i do what i need to do and will be able to pull the shyt off.

My family was kinda on that same tip :snoop:

CC wasn't an option. I needed to get away. I remember doing searches on colleges that was the least expensive, betting I could do good enough at whatever college I went to, then transfer to a large university the next year. It was worth paying more than CC just to get away from home :manny: Got a scholarship the next year :shaq:

It'll all work out for the best youngin :manny:

Word, i think i'll follow this blue print. Ima suck it up and do the semester here since i did let them talk me into it, but after that ima transfer. But while im here ima GET a 4.0 GPA , save some money and see what scholarships they have available. Since i turn 18 in october i dont think my mom will file me on her taxes so hopefully when i do FAFSA for 2012-2013 i can file as independent and eat :ahh:

You can file as independent @ 24 unless your parents are deceased or you're emancipated I believe.

(Trust me, I tried)

I got denied this year and paying $6k out of pocket for the fall semester for 18 hrs (plus $408 for parking) :dwillhuh:

That's what I did. Got a 4.0 & transferred out. Be prepared to sacrifice a lot of partying & going out if you serious about that academic life :wow: You should look into some of the smaller HBCUs. I went to one out TN. Good luck homie...

You know, i thought I was overreacting and was just going to try to stay maybe the full 2 years. but today my moms asked me about the job searching and i told her "I was going to get the job at papa johns(which I actually was), but i have to finish getting my license". She striaght up gone tell me "well for you to be a driver you gotta pay to be on my insurance so idk how thats gone work out"

I really just looked like :what: are you serious.

Yea brehs, i may not even make it to a full semester :comeon:

I know you should stick my family, but i gotta be honest, staying will only make things worse.
