I had got accepted into a college earlier this year but in the middle of summer let my fam talk me into to staying and going to a CC out here :smh: Now that I see the real reason they want me here Im thinking about just finishing this semester then transferring to the university I initially got accepted to.

Which way should I go about doing this? And how would even pay for the classes and room and board for the 2nd semester :mindblown:

shyt is confusing to me right now, but i have a couple of months before 2nd semester so i want to just know what to do before the last minute.

Get your grades up at CC , and then transfer. At least get 24 hours of CC credit. nikkas always talk about how CC ain't like the real thing , and its too easy. If that's the case , get an easy 3.5 at CC then transfer and get some scholarships. You taking all the same classes anyway your first couple years. Be smart , blackbrotha.

You're right my friend. But at the same time i know my limits. And if i stay here i wont be able to reach my full potential. They talking about I got to get a job to help with the bills, ok cool. Then my moms telling me i have to pay her to be on her insurance if i want a ride to the school, on top of that the other money i do make goes to the grocceries and shyt :rudy:

Even then, im like umm ite... Until they finally tell my to change my schedule at and take all my classes in one day. At that point im like ::childplease: From now on Ima just make my own decisions, whether they're bad or not. I feel like even if i do have to pay off college loans by going to a university, i'll still have a good career if i do what i need to do and will be able to pull the shyt off.

It's possible but you have to check your schools website and see if they accept transfers after the first semester. Also depending on what kind of school it is you might have to apply again if you don't go the first semester.

Yeah the earlier u can transfer the better. You don't want to transfer 2 years later and have to repeat classes cuz the credits didnt carry over.

This.

That's what I'm doing now as I'm entering my 2nd year at a CC. And I'm sure that my credits transfer because I've checked at all the universities that I plan on transferring to.

My GPA is a little over 3.5 and who knows maybe I can get a good ass scholarship when I transfer. :yeshrug:

:what: Pay her to be on her insurance?

fukk kind of mom you got? But i would recommend going to a CC for your first couple of years,I went straight to a private university and those loans are gonna kill a nikka when i graduate..But your situation seems a lil tough.

The thing is, they way shyt is here, i probably wont be able to even get the associates in 2 years. More like 3 :snoop:
I know my grades aint gone be as high if i gotta take all my classes in one day instead of balancing them out :comeon:

I might as well go to a university, do what i need to do. Network in my 4 years there etc.. Im trying to get a degree in software development so hopefully within a couple months after i graduate I'll have a decent job. I figured with the loans I do have to pay off, it shouldnt be that hard because i dont plan on having kids or living like a baller straight outta college anyway :yeshrug:

community college classes are the same as the first 2 years of a university except a cheaper cost. Once you finish the general studies ENC1101 etc and 2000 level classes you will have an associates. Thats when you start you college discipline studies (business, criminal justice, nursing etc) These are the 3000 (sophomore) and 4000 senior level classes in which you cant take at a community college since they only offer freshman and sophomore classes. Save yourself the money since community college offer same classes for cheaper credit hours once you complete you can automatically apply to a state school to finish up your next 2 years.
