He was still the man when he came back wearing that 45. Damn shame he robbed us of them 2 years.

One year. He came back that during that 2nd year and got bounced out of the playoffs with the number 45

He switched his number back to 23 during that Orlando series in '95. They lost but MJ still played well, he averaged like 31 pts for that series if I remember correctly.

First off, The earliest you can put MJ in the best in the NBA discussion is 1987-88.

Look at the stats, numbers and facts.

"Pippen was the true LEADER. MJ did nothing w/o Pippen. Pippen led the Bulls to 55 wins and a playoff series win w/o MJ in 94 and led the Bulls in pts, rebs, asts, stls, and blks in 95. 2 things that MJ was NEVER able to do w/o Pippen.

You will NOT besmirch Jordan by discrediting the fact that he played scrubs when he was getting put out the offs by Milwaukee ('85) and Boston ('86, '87), while Pippen had Horace Grant in the front court with him in '94. When Grant left and Pip was by himself, that Bulls team was about as good as the '86-'87 team that had Jordan by himself.

Maybe, but that was mostly because MJ was still working himself back into basketball shape. He came back in mid March and only played in like 17 regular season games before the playoffs started. He still averaged 31.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in the playoffs. Dream averaged 33 points and 10 rebounds and won the title so you probably give him the nod. The next season MJ reclaimed his throne.
