Lets be honest with each other.

Outside of your barber, do you feel you get good customer service from black businesses vs non black businesses?

Thought about this after I went to get some food and dude who owned the joint all but told me he didn't want my money. Dude was eating while I looked at the menu, couldn't recommend what to eat, and told me the machine is broken so cash only. I just shook my head, said thanks, and left without getting anything. Don't know why this bothered me more than other interactions. But this dude hustled himself out of an easy 50 dollars. In less than 2 mins. :stopitslime:

The vast majority of my experiences have been positive.

Contrast that with:

Utter GARBAGE customer service in Asian establishments (which i stopped patronizing yeeeeears ago)

Mixed bag experiences in white establishments; anywhere from great service to being followed, being ignored, flat out racism, etc

Honestly, I'd have to say black businesses aren't worse than any other ON AVERAGE.

I think it happens but I don't believe it's a problem anymore than other business it just seems to be highlighted when it happens with a black owned sport the same way it seems to be highlighted when a black person is representing a place such as Walmart imo.

Glad you stopped going and I hope you encourage more sisters to stop too. The contempt they hold for us is unacceptable.
Absolutely. Most of my circle has natural hair/no weave or wigs so they didn't frequent their beauty supplies but I did convince a couple of friends to switch to black nail techs.

My husband still loves them oversized "chicken" wings at the local Chinese spot, but I'm working on him lol

Customers are usually a$$holes, and black folks don't usually have the patience for all that shyt.

Two types of customers, people that want to be served, and people that want to partake in what you have to offer.

The want to be served types are always difficult to deal with, but people think it's good customer service to roll over and be treated like a dog by them.

Don't walk into a restaurant and give them a bunch of instructions on how you want your food prepared. They not there as your personal hired cook, they there to sell their own culinary creations.

you got a gluten allergy, hate dairy, but wanna walk them through making a grilled cheese sandwich in a way that caters to these conditions. Then be mad it doesn't taste as good as you thought. thats your creation not theirs. be mad at yourself.

To be honest.. in better areas I get good black customer service from black businesses

In the hoods majority of the time it’s always young blacks that give bad service.. the older black men and women be straight up honest and be good

The answer is no and it's usually older people who does this.

Thelma barbecue had bad service from Thelma herself. That's probably why she out of business. White folks used to patronize her business also.

Threw only other one whose rude is Cream Burger lady.

The rest like This Is It and other black establishment like Frenchy's is all good.

I trip off we'll have a bad experience with a black owned spot and boycott them immediately. Any other place we give them chances after chances.

Like Number One Chicken is Asian owned and Ass holes. They raised their prices and people still patronize them. Even the black women they employ are rude.

I think it has more to do with location, type of industry and how much staff is getting paid, but I'll let you cook.

Low level employees in a trash area with no development or growth opportunities and shytty hours and pay, aren't going to care period
