Real Talk....Is 2020 The GOAT Year In Gaming?

2018 was hands down the GOAT year and that is possibly all time...

2020 been average at best in comparison...

No classic games to this point, SONY came through with some heat but no classics...

Cyberpunk 2077 and WatcDogs 3 are the only potential classics remaining for 2020...

I really wanted that Mafia remake to be good but I have zero confidence after that game play reveal...

Meanwhile, I'mma be over here waiting on that Baldur's Gate 3 early access, so the world can see that it's ok to just bury Bioware finally. Ain't no way Dragon Age 4 ends up better than what I've already seen of BG3 - and Larian as a studio are top-tier when it comes to continued support. They said this shyt finna be notably bigger and deeper than DOS2

Plus Ghost of Tsushima basically Deebo'd the AC formula from Ubisoft, did it better and set up for more if they want it. (I'm hoping they go near-future ninja, just so they can really put that AC nail in the coffin of 'everything you shoulda done but didn't'.) I am here for anything that erodes the old guard of EA, Ubisoft and Activision/Blizzard.

2020 still got some heat on the back-end. And I'll enjoy watching the console war from the sidelines because neither launch lineup looks necessary for me to move off my PC - Cyberpunk ain't gonna look as goon on console as it will on my 144hz monitor. Probably might just re-purpose my console money to a crisp new 3080/3090 when they drop and buy when Miles/Horizon drop

Having all consoles (and Stadia) in quarantine got me on a Golden State Warriors level gaming run right now. Might end up with the 4-peat if Arizona is still a hotspot by the time Cyberpunk comes out

Bruh I didn't realize you were in AZ too. No wonder our Smash matches weren't the lagfest they are in most quickplay matches

Budokai 3 was everyone's favourite from what I remember back in the day, I still see people owning copies of that. Killzone of course was popular, and anything Jak/Sly/Ratchet back in those times were hits. And San Andreas obviously needs no introduction.

Chain of Memories was an excellent experience for me back in the day. Been a KH stan since 2002, haven't looked back since.
