I appreciate the fact that he's gonna go back to just straight spitting on "Life is Good" but I hope he doesn't fully retire his ":krs:" ways. (Daughters is a good sign that he hasn't fully abandoned it)

Nas is the modern day KRS One in my opinion. Hiphop's TEACHA

Untitled and Distant Relatives are two of the best albums to come out this decade. I would love to see more of that type of music from Nas in the future. (After the inevitable Primo/AZ/Jay Z collabo albums of course)

Please don't compare Nas with KRS-One. Nas's catalogue has too many ignorant songs with ignorant lyrics to start comparing him with KRS as the teacher.

Of course, Nas was/is mostly a conscious rapper, but he DOES have his ignorant song here and there (I.e. Nasty and The Don being 2 recent examples)

only a CAC or a confused suburban black kid who skateboards would say this, Untitled is probably the most important hiphop album since Public Enemies's "It Takes a Nation" and DP's "Lets Get Free"

Nas is a pretty versatile MC, I'm sure he'll get creative with his subject matter on Life is Good.

As opposed to what? The comatose Nas?

I already know he's smart, he doesn't have to prove it to me on every track...... I just want the dude to make some music that fukkin' resonates. Whatever way it has to happen. Don't care if it has a message or not, I just hope it's not a snoozefest full of "lessons".
