The most problematic issue with authoritarian governments is, wholesale governmental policy tends to go through 1 person. Eventually shyt devolves into a cult of personality where everyone is afraid to speak the truth. This why Russia fukked up in Ukraine. Even under unfavorable circumstances, Russia should've spanked Ukraine. Now we're looking at a potential collapse of both countries, which i should remind everyone ISN'T a favorable outcome either. You could see something potentially worse arise from either in that scenario.
