The Panthers as currently constructed has run its course. Gettleman either needs to fix the Oline or bring in an OC that can actually mask some of the flaws of the team.

That was the beauty of last season, Cam's skill set was able mask a lot of the flaws with the offensive line

I hope some major upgrades are made cause he literally has to play perfect for this team just to be average

The oline was decent enough.

But yea Cam carried that team as much as any MVP in recent memory. However, as I said before the season....can't just expect Cam to be MVP level every year...


Gettleman rolled the dice thinking that's just who Cam will be all the time and it cost the team. Thinking that Cam can just mask all the problems. He didn't try to fix any of the weaknesses and only made matters worse letting Norman go for nothing.

I still think Cam is Cam skill, speed, agility wise. But that beat up O Line has definitely caused Cam to get killed this year. He's got at least one or 2 concussions He's definitely more timid and gunshy after taking a beating all year

This is more of the issue..

Low key he's a statue in the pocket. He doesn't slide up or move his feet as well as he use too.

Oline is shyt, but this off season Cam needs to work on his pocket presence.

The hits have added up. They add up for all the QBs after the years. Russell Wilson doesn't run like he use too. However, Russell still has his escapability to help him out more.

Cam physically is looking like McNabb did in his late 20s. McNabb managed to add 4 or so more good years because he just improved his pocket awareness.


I still think Cam can be great/elite.It just seems right now he's a guy who really needs a good line to do so. In some ways he's still playing the same kind of game as he did the last couple of years, but with a worse Oline. He's gotta have a changeup when teams take away his fastball. He's gotta be able to counter the muck around him....if he wants to remain great.

You know Brady, Manning, are going to be great regardless. Right now unless Cam alters his game it seems it may rely heavily on a great oline.

Outside of last season was Cam was an elite QB and had an all time season he's never had the consistent mechanics or footwork to be a great QB. He's got the physical ability to overcome some of his mistakes like throwing off his back foot and not consistently using the pocket to his advantage but what Panthers fans and Cam fans have to realize is that this Cam is who he has always been (just doesn't run as much). Like you said, Cam needs a Dallas Cowboys/Broncos level line to be elite, he won't get there off of his own merits because he's too inconsistent in his fundamentals
