White City Black
Ol’ Basquiat head ass
let’s start with the basics.
- Budgeting
- Developing an emergency fund
- Eliminating debt
This is something we all need to do first and foremost (myself included). Investing, opening up a business...all practical but even more so once we master these three things first. Gotta be responsible with the small money before we think we can handle the big bucks.
Office supplies, stationary, furniture, bathroom items (toilet paper, soap, paper towels), signage, etc....how many brick and mortar Black businesses consciously think of obtaining all these things exclusively from Black suppliers? A great deal of them might not, or in the effort to just maintain fiscally, they may get them from the same places everyone else does. But wouldn’t it be a great recycling of our monies (and keeping each other afloat) if this were to happen? And I mean realistically, we as individuals and families could do the same for our respective households.
