I just finished The Divine Compensation and I’m now reading The Power of Myth.

I’m looking at The Coddling of The American Mind as my next book..




I have a coworker telling me to read Jordan Peterson 12 Rules of Life since I read Divine Compensation. I can’t see the connection tho

Almost exclusively autobiographies. All those self help books are cool if you're 14 and high AF. other than that

Is this the official book thread on thecoli?...brehs need to start dropping their goodreads profile and lists for 2025. Im wrapping up Jane Eyre right now...bout to run through all the classics 1st quarter next year and then start jumping into some fiction

My Mrs got me a Kindle for my birthday during summer, and before that I had maybe finished on 5 non-study/work books in my life.

I will complete the 13th this year and it has been an amazing journey. I was making the mistake earlier of trying to read the “greats” or books people told me I had to. But instead, I focused on my interests which are quite niche, but build up my reading habits.

My next book with be The Honourable Schoolboy by John le Carre. I have already read 3 of his books this year.

I don’t watch TV much now, I don’t play computer games, I just go gym, work and look after my kid really. All of those times I sneak in a little bit of reading where I can.
