Yo I copped the autographed cd and didn't realize I already have an autographed RBX cd (Equinox).

Zero regrets for supporting the legend and dope music.

RBX to me is one of the unsung heroes of hip hop. He may not have been considered the most complex lyricist but his darth vader style delivery is both bone chilling and commanding. When listening to “The Chronic” “Doggystyle” and “RBX Files” he found ways of channeling his voice to blend with that era of G-Funk. He would later release independent albums here and there but he needed a sound that would compliment him and this is where Sccit and Siavash come in.

These guys Sccit & Siavash The Grouch have built quite a beefy resume’ within the West Coast rap scene. Working with Fatlip from The Pharcyde and many legends throughout the left coast. The energy they wanted to create for this album was “What would RBX’s Death Row Records album sound like?” You can tell from the intro, the radio style skits, and the flow ranging between dark and funky that this was the energy they wanted to create and they excelled at it.

Then they wanted to give RBX a great supporting casts. You have legends such as MCEiht, Ras Kass, Project Pat, Cold187um, Krayzie Bone on board and they serve their purpose. Krayzie Bone straight annailated “Nightstalker” and Project Pat brought that dark M-Town energy to “Picnic Caskets” respectfully. The album also carries that funky vibe on “Hibernation” “The Shivers” “Midnight Drive” and “A Billi”

Overall this is definitely one of the best projects to have been released in 2024. This album did justice in reintroducing RBX to another generation of listeners and pairing him up with the right emcees to complement him and as well as sonically. RBX The Narrator, is a seasoned rapper known for his distinctive deep voice and intricate flow. He rose to fame as a member of the iconic Death Row Records roster in the 1990s and made memorable appearances on albums by legendary artists such as Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and The D.O.C. Despite his undeniable talent, RBX has always remained somewhat of a mysterious figure in the hip-hop world, with sporadic releases and limited solo material.

Rap fans have reason to rejoice as West Coast legend RBX has just dropped his latest body of work, titled “Hibernation Shivers“. His first in over 16 years RBX is known for his distinct voice and uncompromising lyricism, RBX has long been considered one of the most talented and underrated emcees in the game. With this new album, he once again proves why he deserves to be mentioned among the greats.

However, the release of his latest solo album, Hibernation Shivers, marks a significant moment in RBX’s career. Produced by Labcabin Records founders, Sccit and Siavash the Grouch, the album showcases RBX’s lyrical prowess and storytelling abilities. The lead single, “The Shivers,” featuring KXNG Crooked and Sccit, serves as a strong statement of intent from the veteran rapper. In the track, RBX addresses his detractors and asserts his presence in the rap game with confidence and swagger.

One of the standout aspects of Hibernation Shivers is the impressive lineup of guest features. RBX has enlisted a who’s who of hip-hop royalty, including MC Eiht, Spice 1, Ras Kass, Tha Dogg Pound, Krayzie Bone, and Project Pat. These collaborations add depth and variety to the album, showcasing RBX’s versatility as an artist. From gritty street tales to introspective reflections, Hibernation Shivers covers a wide range of topics and emotions, all delivered with RBX’s trademark style and charisma.

Beyond the star-studded guest list, the production on Hibernation Shivers is top-notch, with Sccit and Siavash the Grouch providing hard-hitting beats and atmospheric instrumentals that complement RBX’s lyrical prowess. The album flows seamlessly from track to track, creating a cohesive listening experience that captivates from start to finish. RBX’s storytelling skills are on full display, as he weaves intricate narratives and paints vivid pictures with his words.

Overall, Hibernation Shivers is a triumphant return for RBX, showcasing his evolution as an artist and solidifying his status as a hip-hop legend. With his unique voice and uncompromising style, RBX reminds listeners why he is revered in the rap world and cements his place in the pantheon of greats. For fans of West Coast hip-hop and golden era nostalgia, Hibernation Shivers is a must-listen album that will surely stand the test of time. As RBX himself proclaims, “we aiming for nothing but classics,” and with this release, he has undoubtedly achieved that goal.
