I'm saying he earned it because he EARNED that celebrity in the first place, from rapping and battle rapping. This is just a perspective thing. I don't have the same jealousy/insecurity other battle rap fans like you may have over Cass so i guess I just see it differently.
I respect the celebrity and accomplishments getting him in the door, but those trash battles should have had him out of here. I'm not jealous or insecure, that makes zero sense

I didn't. First RBE card I've skipped in a long time. I want to support, but I'm not paying to see him be wack. The PPVs are even higher than usual due to his price. That's a spot and a check someone deserving who will come kill shyt could have. Also, look how cheap the rest of the card is. And we only got one really good battle on the whole card. He costs way more than he adds culturally, and from a quality aspect.Then don't pay to see him.

yes and no. big draw? oh sure. that's a no brainer like the same with any of the other legends like Mook, Lux, and etc. but i wouldn't say he is the budget because building a card counts still with folks who been around before Cass made his return in this newer era. even if they are top, mid, or low tiers, who end up getting spots on a card like that. i don't think @TripleAgent is acting like its a charity thing when he is talking about who earned what. i think he is referring to the current climate which Cass had to adjust to like Reed and Millz had to.
I’m saying it’s a business. Use logic. Do y’all think these guys are booking Cassidy because they are LOSING money?? When I say Cass is the budget, I just mean he’s the reason people are paying for the card. Sure, you could give that money to Danny Myers or A Ward if you want, but you’re not gonna make your money back that way. Not sure why this concept is so hard to understand. You don’t get paid for how good you are battling, you get paid for the return on investment the league thinks you can bring.
I never debated if it was good for business or not, I'm saying it's bad for the culture and the product. Look at the overall quality of the cards with Cassidy on them. They're usually him, his high paid opponents, and whatever else they threw together. Maxout had other problems, but it was a train wreck besides Will/A Ward. You can't make the battlers show up, but Cassidy and Hitman dominating the budget certainly reduced the card quality, which looks extra bad when their battle is garbage. That's all I'm saying.

See, you have to use logic as well. Those guys were putting in work while Cassidy gone. So they're on the come up in the new era as well. You can't debate that. Hell, you are in the Random Thoughts thread always arguing with the rest of us about them so you low key do know. I don't know if RBE is making or losing by booking Cassidy, so please, calm the fukk down and breathe for once. I did not say you were completely. What I'm saying is, calling him the budget is a bit overkill. That's all I'm saying.
Now you say you get paid on the ROI. That's true. However, if the productive defective and customers want refunds, now what? Because the business even after a successful day or night, still needs to move forward and see the future. If you have customers complaining because the product purchased isn't displayed how it's advertised, you can have a dip in sales very easily. And as opinionated as we are as battle rap fans, it can be a slippery slope for leagues to fail that don't have cushion to fall if their talent is not up to par. Or the event is a shytshow. Or if the stream is a complete rip-off.

nikka is dumb. If url or rbe managed to book big daddy kane vs rakim you know how many old people would pay for the ppv and show up to the event. The battle rap community will say "we don't want to see this shyt" but the company will make so much more money than they ever did.
If lloyd banks battled... that probably at least 100k banks fans thats not battle rap fans that will probably pay to see banks battle wether he's trash by battle rap standards or not...
