3 MIL is a tremendous value for Ray, don't get me wrong. But I think a lot of you dudes are overestimating what he'll contribute with all of this pre-mature "title lock" talk. I mean, you saw how he performed for us in the playoffs the past few years right? He doesn't exactly look young down the stretch of the regular season and into the playoffs. Just my $.02.

PS: I'm one of the fans that will still root for Ray, just not the Heat. Danny has tried to move him a few times over the past few seasons, so the whole idea of Ray lacking loyalty is bullshyt, honestly. He's a pro is every sense of the word. He saw an opportunity and took it, for less money. Can't really hate on that. He's just doing him. Exactly like how Danny was trying to do himself/his team when he sough trade offers for Ray.

Ray Allen will be playing on easy mode in Miami. The Heat offense made Shane Battier look like a borderline allstar when he started making the open shots.

I don't think he'll be an effective 6th man, like I said in my last post. I just don't see him being comfortable in that role. The only upside is his ankles won't be bearing as many minutes.

Great move. With Mike Miller's retirement being a very real possibility, Ray Allen is the ideal replacement.
