Go to the Heat, or get traded to the T-Wolves midseason?
Smart move by Ray
He was offered a no-trade clause.

He had a no-trade clause.
He had a no-trade clause.
No. They offered him a no-trade clause after they already burnt that bridge.
He was offered a no-trade clause.
So if Ray Allen agreed, Boston would have pulled the no-trade clause off the table? They obviously offered it. He wanted to be a hoe and go with the arch-rivals.
Florida gets you through other taxes, property being one of them.

You lost me. How did we get on taxes.
The bridge was burned already, this is like cheating on your wife and offering her a diamond to, "make her forget," all while claiming you'll never do it again.
Ray went somewhere else, because his "family" treated him like an expendable part of the team.
The taxes response was to someone else, my bad.
It's funny that you fail to mention Rondo anywhere in your rebuttal. The fact of the matter is, Ray Allen had a chance to act like a real competitor and take another opportunity to beat the team that just eliminated your team the year before and won a title.
Instead, he chose the soft route and resigned with the team that beat his team of 5 years. If you're a competitor, you put internal bullsh1t aside and go after the team that sent you home early.
I hate to mention Jordan in this thread, but it's appropriate. Michael Jordan despised Jerry Krause, let me repeat that, he despised Jerry Krause, the beginning of the end was during the 85-86 season where Krause didn't allow him to play more than limited minutes and referred to him as property. The relationship continued to deteriorate for the next ten plus years.
Jordan stuck it out, could you imagine Jordan signing with Detroit, or Pippen signing with NY, just cause of their squabbles with management?
Doing that is the definition of a bytch, if you a true competitor LOSING should hurt more than perceived slights by management.
Terrible. Jordan was coming off of a broken foot, and krause didn't want him hurt any worse. Sports medicine wasn't so great back then. Nonetheless, they didn't have the greatest of relationships but they also weren't trying to trade him.
Ray Allen was actually trade to Memphis until they realized the numbers weren't right. Who wants to play with that looming. Why stay when they've been begging to get rid of you for 5 years. In that link I posted, he said they tried to trade him a few months after he got there for McGrady.
He did the right thing. Played out his contract, and got revenge in free agency. They straight up treated him like a bytch, so he dipped.
Tired of that front office, tired of getting threatened with being traded to some obscure ass team that wins 12 games a season.
Very valid reasons to jump ship.
Why be loyal to a team that aint loyal to you?
