Yeah, i'm a super-casual NBA viewer. So didn't really know if they had their's first or not. And its been a few years now. I know WWE immediately did the empty shows in the NXT arena, but i didn't know who came up with the Thunderdome first.

Yeah they stayed at the PC for a few months before they left and started renting out arenas for the Thunderdome.

The funniest thing about yesterday was Fightful doing a live stream talking about the big news. Their owner/financial expert Jimmy Van actually tried to make a case that 500mil a year is not a big deal. This is why I say wrestling media is lower than gossip rags.

Well that was the case with the Network too, it's a stipulation of Raw and SmackDown's TV deals. They can't put them on streaming until 1 month after airdate.

We probably will, majority have conditioned themselves to paying Netflix like a phone bill and they have no shame increasing it every 6 months.

WWE Raw Leaving USA Network Months Before Netflix Deal – TJR Wrestling

WWE Raw is heading to Netflix in January 2025, but questions remain over what happens to the show in the last few months of 2024.

One of the unanswered questions we have is what is going to happen to Raw in October, November, and December when presumably Raw is not going to be on the USA Network. The Netflix deal – Netflix live in the United States is not going to start until January.

I asked NBC Universal and they did get back to me. A spokesperson said it’s correct that Raw will no longer be on the USA Network after October 2024. In regard to what is happening with Raw between October and December, it’s probably best to reach out to WWE. I did ask WWE, I haven’t heard back yet.

Fans might not have to wait long to find out what is happening with Raw, however, as Dave Meltzer added that he had heard back from WWE and the word coming out of the company was that an announcement would be made in relation to the issue very soon.
