On the real, WWE maybe cooking up something with Raw being on Netflix. They might as well put their library and PLEs on the platform, since:

  • Ad revenue would be a huge plus on Netflix end
  • Better quality streaming service than Peacock
  • Welcoming a binging type of atmosphere
  • "they make movies...." *chews on water*
This is a brilliant move on a financial level.

They are breh :wow:

That tier used to be $7. I can’t justify paying that shyt.

It’s the principle of the matter. A year ago Disney, Hulu, and HBO combined were $30-32.
Bro ain’t no principality in 20 dollars. 20 dollars is 20 dollars.

:pachaha:

shyt reminds me of when I see cats giving chipotle cashiers pushback for charging extra for guac. Like fam, just pay the damn 30 cent

nikkas really turn into Julius from Everybody hates Chris when it’s time to pay for something. But on another note, there’s still free options baby. I haven’t had cable in over a decade and I’m still watching wrestling weekly. It’s all a Google search away

Can anyone explain why these companies keep paying wwe ridiculous amounts of money?

Is NIck khan that good of a finesser?

But but but the sheets said CM Punk helped WBD come to the WWE table!

These motherfukkers are shameless with what they charge :scusthov:

We going to $35.99 next year prolly :sadcam:

Is Netflix really that expensive to y’all? Not to money shame or pocket watch but isn’t it like 15 for standard, 20 for premium and 6 for ads? That’s really breaking peoples pockets like that?

This is going to do to Netflix pricing what sports rights deals did to cable tv pricing over the past couple decades. After sponsorship, the cost will be passed down to the customer.

That's true, but ultimately Netflix might decide they don't want it against MNF. All I'm saying is intentionally leaving out the name "Monday Night" Raw feels strategic to me and not an accident.
Realistically where can they go?

Tues - NXT, nope
Wed - Dynamite, nope
Thurs - Maybe but TNA, TNF
Fri - LOL, Smackdown
Sat, Sun - Weekend live events, conflicts with PLEs
Mon - Best night, not broke, don't fix it.

Thursday is the only option and they will still run up against the NFL on Thursdays during the season. It's best to keep it where it's always been, on Mondays.

Johnson, a former WWE wrestler who has become one of Hollywood’s most marketable and well-known stars, is joining the board effective immediately. He also secures full ownership of his stage name, “The Rock,” as part of the deal.

The company said in a regulatory filing Tuesday that it will pay Johnson $30 million in stock awards to promote the brand as part of his new deal. The awards will vest over the course of 2024 and 2025.
