Ok, I've got some French in me though an I don't down play the shyt walkin around talking about my Americanism. Like I don't know why we're debating technicalities, does it really seem like she's super prideful about her heritage?

When you call a mixed, biracial, or lightskin person black these guys get super emotional and caught up in technicalities. @marcuz did that to me once. shyt is weird.

Look my point is this. For a lightskin/biracial person to feel like they need to make that distinction an be like "nah I'm not black b I'm Americanist/lightskin/biracial/whatever" it makes it seem like you've got a problem with that specific part of you ancestry. If someone came up to me like "yo are you French" I wouldn't be like "woah calm down fam don't forget the Irish I'm so damn offended". You don't needa be 100% of whatever race just to take pride in your heritage and culture, in my opinion at least. It'd be different if her great great grand dad was hitler or some shyt but she has no reason to be trying to separate herself, to me it just comes off like she isn't comfortable with her self. Maybe it's race, maybe it's sexuality or MAYBE Bill really did touch her and they're keeping it under wraps. Who knows.

She never got a surgical breast reduction. She just lost weight and her t*ts were gone.

For some odd reason this never crossed my mind. Bill molesting her is more likely than Debbie Allen eating her out. Many people turn gay because they were molested.

Not to mention kids who are molested often demonized the entire race of their attacker no matter how many positive figures of the same race are in their life :francis:
See what I'm sayin? :usure:

how is it a technicality?

but when you think a mixed person doesn't call themselves black, YOU get super emotional. this thread is super emotional because they think a mixed person should claim black. how is this any different? its just other side of the coin

I guess what I'm saying is people need to understand you don't have to say it all in one breath. If someone was 50% Norwegian and 50% Nigerian and born in the US, they should be comfortable talking about the different parts of their heritage independently. They should be able to confidently talk about and claim the fact that they are Nigerian without mentioning the Norwegian and vice versa. If someone wants to talk about your shirt you don't just start discussing your whole fit an how the shirt only plays a minor role in the overall scheme... And why would anyone walk around saying they're American? The only "Americans" are the Indians, B

breh, African-American is a dumb phrase. white americans are not called euro-americans. the fact you refer to the real americans as Indians proves my point.

Well obviously it's a dumb phrase, it was invented by some racist CACs slowly stole this entire continent out from under the original inhabitants... "Asian-American, African-African, Irish-American, Jewish-American" wouldn't it make more sense to just make people of English and French dissent call themselves "English-Americans" and "French-Americans" like I live in Maine a couple hours from the Canadian boarder and we got plenty of folks who claim "Canadian American" because they're prideful about it. I don't think we're really disagreeing breh, I just think it makes more sense to just make Europeans change their title instead.
