That part of Richmond is pretty rough

Definitely is.

I went to Union freshmen year before I transferred out to Bowie.

Wasn't terrible but it felt like high school tbh. Just a small school, with separate dorms for men and women.

Nestled in the shadow of Virginia Commonwealth University, which seemed like a palace in comparison.

Have no ill will towards the school but if I visited before I went, I wouldn't have went at all.

Rich history though.

Shoutout to the Kroger a quarter mile from the school though. Held me down during that year.
