Interesting question. I think it's the latter. He said that Healthcare and Education have been the two areas his philanthropy arm has been most focused on the past few years. In addition to the HBCUs, he's donated hundreds of millions to his alma mater , Johns Hopkins, for medical students.I wonder if this is to help counter the anti-DEI push or if he just sees it as part of a worthy cause to improve healthcare?
