I see @DropTopDoc done settled in here. Breh proud of his alma mater. That’s what’s up!

First school I’ve seen with male/female ratio favoring the men. Didn’t know they were in Bham. Let me read some more on them
Yeah when I was there i think we were 8:1 women to men, and it’s in Tuscaloosa

Our former president, rubbed a lot of staff, and alum the wrong way, which is why we hit such a rut in attendance, and he had us expanding campus and building things up and left us in a lot of debt, and allegedly (more probable than not) stole money, and we are slowly climbing out that hole, but i feel like it’s only a matter of time before we get swallowed up by that machine that is the university of Alabama

I heard of it, being from the BlackBelt, but Alabama A&M and Alabama State were just more high profile. I can't really rate it. A few from my school did go there that I know of.

@DropTopDoc

What would you say is unique about Stillman? Going through this series, I try to pull from the description and feedback what makes each institution different.
The magnolia trees
Hbcu feel but close knit, i had several crews and clicks i was cool with and still cool with til this day
Obviously the teachers care at all hbcu’s, but it was different because way smaller classes
And right up the street from univ of alabama so we could get small time hbcu, but also big time university

Which cities did most grads end up in?
you know like most schools, a lot of folks stay around or in the state

Some go back to where they are from (Chicago/Midwest, Cali, Georgia, Texas) ironically they also have graduates that go to those areas too, despite not being from there, but the biggest factions of our alumni bases are Georgia, Bama, and Texas

I tell you what really tripped me out, a few folks from these small towns, would come to Stillman, graduate and go back (alliceville, eutaw, brewton, evergreen, etc) strangest thing, but for some that’s all they know, and how they want to be, grow up there, go off to school, come back be a part of the community, retire it’s not an uncommon situation, but it just seems more prevalent in Alabama
