I remember not realizing that I fukked with SWV heavy until later on .....and that 2nd album is madd underrated...but I can only give them a 6 cause they were very run of the mill .... I feel like they were not that "unique" they just got "chosen"...but they got some heat tho....

That's not what happened at all the only reason they cooled off so quickly is because they broke up for a long period of time like most girl groups. They also got back together like most girl groups but that was like 05 or 06 and that girl group shyt was dead.

Only 90’s girl group I put ahead of them is En Vogue. (TLC were iconic to the era but their music didn’t age as well IMO)

They don’t get the props they deserve, because very simple they did not have crossover success. Groups like tlc, Destiny’s child. Don’t have better songs. But because of the crossover success, groups like tlc,destiny child are always mentioned because they where more popular. Due to having the corporate machine behind them.
