We used to hit up Bennett for the gym jams @Bryan Danielson know what I’m talmbout. A lot of dykes at Bennett, but there was some bad shortys there too. We used to sneak them back to the dorms, and the RA’s would be waiting trying to catch you sneaking in someone after hours. Bentley’s used to have them girls getting naked, and had some fire wings. My girl got drunk as hell during her 21st, getting on the karaoke stage trying to sing. Me and my boy had to carry her ass outta there lol. I remember Magic City lost their liquor license, but was still slanging liquor out them cheap styrofoam coolers. The In Club was the UNCG/white spot until we took that over

So many stories about dudes getting robbed or stood up at that Exxon going into downtown. You was taking a chance walking through Riverwalk and getting on Bessemer.

Being on A&T’s campus during Obama winning in 2008 was magical.

As a shorty G-boro always had an allure to a young nikka with 4 Seasons Mall, Celebration Station, Emerald Pointe, Several College B-Ball tourneys, etc.

There's alotta Black History there and its still the main hub for the Triad Region for large events like music events, Comedy shows, etc.

Ive had plenty of fun there, but shyt aint the same there no-mo . I keep hearing from folk still in the Triad area how G-boro's crime hasnt gotten any better and I hear High Point is even worse.

Used to hit up Emerald Pointe every summer and my pop would scrape up some money and take me and my bro to one of the ACC tourney games. Hit up one of those games, and then he had a spot in Kernersville where’d he’d take us to get some hot dogs. Man, we’d be all up in Happy Hills bbq’n with the OGs and hood generals. I used to go to summer camp every summer right on Cleveland by the Cleveland PJs. My great grandma stayed right off Piedmont circle, and wouldn’t let us fool around on the circle after dark. My auntie would take us to celebration station.

HP is bad now. Gotta keep ya head on a swivel rolling through there. My auntie and uncle who used to get it in in Lumberton used to warn me about HP.

One of my aunties used to go get her hair done at Harry Giles mamas hair salon. He was a huge UNC fan, but when dude was in high school, his mama would always say he wasn’t going to UNC due to their NCAA troubles. We knew where he was going 2 years before he announced. It was always between Duke and Wake Forest. I grew up going to WF games, and just knew I was going there. It just didn’t work out

Yeah, High Point is real live right now. I counsel at risk youth in the area and the violence is getting out of hand. All I can point to is the rise in gang activity which is more common than when I was coming up. I think this is also a trend throughout the state this year.

Like somebody pointed out though, crime is still relatively lower when compared to similar sized cities in other regions. The state gotta get a handle on it though. I would hate to see things get worse than they are.

That was the year Jeezy and Rick Ross came down for homecoming....or it could’ve been Wayne. Hell, I can’t remember.

I just know when Obama got elected, we were on the yard all night marching downtown. My pop called that night and was like I know y’all tearing shyt up lol

I lived in the boro for about 3-4 years.

The city is certainly not cosmopolitan like Toronto or NYC or even Atlanta BUT its more diverse than i expected, esp. along west market street. There's a variety of hole-in-the wall ethnic restaurants along west market like middle eastern, Mediterranean, south asian, east and west african, mexican etc. Ofcourse theres a strong black population so you got your soul food and sothern food like dames, stephanie's, mrs winners.

Its definitely dope affordable city for college students and folks raising children, but if youre a single young adult (25-35) it would be boring as hell.
The East side and the south side get a bit violent and sketchy, But if you just mind your business and use your head.

Overall ill give it a 6, maybe a 7 on a good day

Stop it, Charlotte is better than Atlanta. I'd take Charlotte 50/10 over Atlanta, wouldn't have to think twice about it...

I don’t think there is. The only solution I can think of is I think of is tallying the votes up each week.

There's a number of cities you haven't done, since you've ventured into doing smaller cities. None in particular I care to see you do, but you've opened the door when you started doing some smaller places. Tacoma, Huntsville, Knoxville, Bridgeport, Manchester, Little Rock, Akron, Dayton, Grand Rapids, Bakersfield, Colorado Springs, etc...

Like I said I don't care much to see any of them done, but others might; you said earlier you'd done pretty much everywhere but as you opened the door for smaller cities, there's a ton of places you haven't done...
