smh. is this not a regular storm?
It’s not anything crazy out of the ordinary, other than the past few winters being mild, but it’s icy af. I saw a lottta mfs spin out and get stuck on the highway, and I was only out right when it started (came in earlier than the forecast). Now the highways are either shutdown or backed way tf up. Streets are slick af, sidewalks are treacherous and it’s supposed to be another round of snow and ice tomorrow, and wind chills are negative or damn near all this coming week, so the ice ain’t going anywhere. Conventional wisdom says to stay in the crib until Monday, if not Tuesday

I was at Ft. Leonardwood some yrs back for about 3 months, December, January and February. It's where weather forecasts go to die. It was a day in Dec. about 55-60 degrees sunny then I woke the next morning and snow was damn near up to my knees. It did that off and on the whole time I was there. When my orders came to get back to Cali, on the day of my flight out, the flight got canceled and I had to take a cab to St.Louis. and everything was canceled or delayed. But I remember they put me up in a nice hotel and I ordered the best pepperoni, sausage and extra cheese pizza of my life though. I have thought about going back to St. Louis in search of that pizza for over 20 yrs. But yeah Missouri weather is on some other shyt and the state is an overall shythole.

It hasn’t even snowed yet, and it’s an ice rink out there. Wreck after wreck after wreck. Might as well get comfortable until about Tuesday buddy.

if your point of reference is a similar sized or smaller town you may enjoy it... if you coming from somewhere considerably larger I anticipate you not thinking much of it

its one of them locations where you have to wait for the city to wake up to have stuff to do..... there isnt a constant buzz of activity like a lot of other towns have.

Not a fan of the food scene. Yes the bbq is amazing and bountiful, but once you wanna go beyond that the quality and options drops off a cliff. They do have a pretty decent Mexican and Central American food scene though

Huge historic Black community... once you get pass the street madness (and they got plenty of it) they are very welcoming and embracing... That would be the most favorable component of the town in my view

The balance between cost of living and opportunity is quite amazing though

Went to Kansas City last month

Saw the chiefs play

Dope ass stadium even the royals stadium look nice

It was your typical Midwest city

A little cold

I stayed downtown

Enjoy that new free hop on hop off transit

That Q39 bbq spot was a 10/10 food spot.. shyt was better bbq than I get here

Had dinner at another spot forgot its name but that was also good

I would return when its warmer so i can visit the negro league museum
