In the summer is a great place to be.
The racial gap is ridiculous though. Minneapolis is not a segregated as Chicago, but you definitely know of the spots where there is little to no black folk.

Never been, definitely want to check it out.
I feel like it's underrated because their winters are not for the weak-hearted
thus people shy away even though it has most everything you need or want from a city.
Beyond that, it seems to be a place that a breh or brehette could prosper if being around their own/a familiar culture wasn't high on the priority list.

He had a private party at Dakota Jazz club Downtown on Nicollet ave. His car pulled up. I was just walking up the block when he got out his car. I saw it was him. We ain't have a conversation cause he was coming for the show. I'm just glad I met him.you really met Prince?

Love my hometown but haven't lived there since like 04. Been said Minneapolis is the most underrated city in the country because all most black folks 'know' is 'its cold' and 'its white'. Don't get me wrong, it gets real cold and there are areas that are real white, but there's plenty of black folks and its fairly diverse. Someone else mentioned that its isolated and I think that's part of why its slept on. Ain't nobody just swinging through Minneapolis on the way to anywhere else cause aint nowhere else to be going for anyone coming from anywhere if that makes sense.
City is dope from like April through November, though I say the same thing about Chicago. Its a really beautiful city with a lot to do. I suppose if you're really looking to club it ain't the best but if you're like me and your going out means hitting up restaurants and maybe hitting a lounge or bar scene up once a month then its perfect. Real talk I've lived in Chicago/IL for years but I miss home
