Only time I would recommend going is in summer. Early August Seattle is :blessed:

How racist is it up there? I always wanted to visit Seattle but the city barely any Blacks and I heard it can get pretty :mjpls: since a lot of white people aren’t use to seeing Black people over there.

I mean there aren't a lot of Black people but more than what people think. Most white and Asian people are cool though. Very liberal town so if you are in greater Seattle you should be good.

I work in film so i travel around anyway.

Tryna find a city to base myself in.

Honestly as long as i can walk around and find random shyt like art or even a DIY kinda pocket I'll be good

Never paag'd before so im lookin for that too :mjlit:

If shyt was open I'd be in ya nearest dive bar causing a panic :banderas:

Coming up on 17 years in Seattle.

Spring officially starts in a few days. Weather is starting to get nicer with more sun and warmer. Winters are hard here. Not because of the cold, but because of the grey skies and drizzle. Seldom does it rain hard here, but it's more of a mist/drizzle for days.

We get some nice days starting in April, but summer usually doesn't kick off until July. July-September we might have the best weather in the country.

Sounds a lot like the weather in Western Europe. Its 30°F rn, drizzling, grey and miserable. And we're supposedly in spring.

Idk how I missed this thread when it got started and I’m tagged in the bytch lmao. Also, :dead::pachaha:at Baltimore and Chicago nikkas randomly catching feelings over DC being ranked higher than their city in a Seattle thread lol.

But anyways, I gave Seattle a 7 based on what I’ve researched about it and how that information vibrated with me.

Apparent pros:

- Very clean and very green city
- Solid economy with major employers
- Legal weed and psychedelics
- Favorable climate for produce and gardening
- Quirky and weird in its own unique way
- Posse On Broadway
- Vibrant downtown and waterfront with strong cohesion in the neighborhoods
- Close proximity to Vancouver/Canada, Alaska, Tacoma, the evergreen rainforests, etc.
- Strong outdoors and fitness culture
- Dynamic food scene, especially in regards to Seafood, Japanese, East African, Vegan, and Asian Fusion
- Seems like it’s always some random protest and protest fukkery going on that makes for good entertainment
- Super liberal policies
- Nightlife seems solid for a city of its size
- Seems like it’s got a good sports scene

Apparent cons:

- Seattle Freeze
- Constant overcast and cool weather during the early/latter parts of the year
- One of the worst homelessness crisis on the West Coast and the country
- Ridiculously small Black population
- Passive aggressive Cacs
- Super liberal policies
- Prolly might seem a lil isolated living over there at times

Key spots to checkout for living.

Capital Hill:
Queen Anne
South Lake Union
Fremont
Ballard
Greenlake

Some of those neighborhoods are desirable locations, but the homeless population has taken over everywhere. If you are looking for art I’d say Cap Hill. Lots of restaurants, bars, shops, but also known for its LGBTQ community.

I’m on the Eastside (East of Lake Washington) which is more uppity, but cleaner and better place to raise a family.

If you are looking for more black people I’d say Rainer Valley or Central District though that area is being gentrified.

the weather was fine :manny: random 5-10 minutes of light drizzle a couple times a day, i didn't need a raincoat or anything

Shawn Kemp had the gas :obama:
this is where Drake prolly hides women he cares about :wow: the city itself is the cuffs
