Providence is basically an extra grimey Boston but it only has its worst qualities. I would never go voluntarily
Providence been good to me. More laid back than Boston. Exra easy to get around without a car. People are quite friendly. In my single days it was too easy to get women. Can be rough around the edges due to the lax zoning laws in my opinion. I got a lot of love there and it's worth a visit.
Lowkey more grimier than Boston but also has a better nightlife imo. Every time I stepped out in providence I had maaaad fun

Providence is beautiful, i don't claim to know the city intimately cause I only been twice, but it isn't a bad looking place at all. The quality of women is a 10 here, all flavors, though it isn't the most black friendly city and I've heard it carries New England's/Boston's legacy of racism against blacks pretty well...
Never experienced it myself though, and I found the proliferation of quality food and shopping seemingly on every block in the downtown area to be great. For its weight class, it's one of the best cities in the country, I give it a 7...
Boston is cool but it has a tremendous amount of hype and when I got there it was like "oh I've seen this before". Not bad, but I'd be okay if I never went to Boston again. It's a mashup of SF, Atlanta, and DC, but the way people talk about Boston make you think you're about to see some next level God City shyt...
