Saitama not giving a shyt about fighting for justice and for the selfless good of humanity is always funny. The man just wants to have fun and be famous. And honestly that's what most of us would want in his position too.

There are points in OPM where Saitama is depressed because he can't find anyone strong enough to fight him. His boredom with life is I think meant to make us question what the point is of becoming the best in a field if no one is around to challenge that throne. How do you know you're the best athlete or artist without having had a rival try take that spot, and is it even satisfying being the best without enjoying the process of slowly getting there to begin with? You can read into Saitama's character and find some actual life commentary.

I agree with @LauderdaleBoss that the episodes don't really leave you fiending for the next one. OPM is more concerned about making jokes and constantly undercutting itself than being a real battle narrative with stakes, which is mostly fine but sometimes makes me wish that there was an epic tournament arc to make full use of all the cool hero designs and (what used to be) top tier animation.

I'll give OPM a 8. It makes you think differently about a genre that everyone is familiar with. Very funny. Animation is some of the best ever in a TV show. but I'm never going to watch S2 judging by how bad the clips look, and that's a shame because one of the best characters in Garou is there. His fight with Saitama is great in the manga and it's kinda sad to think it won't be given full justice animated.

Watch season 2 fam. It's not as bad as the clips make it out. I think you'll enjoy some of the action in this one and you got more heroes and villains in the mix this time.

People are going to hate me but I agree with @The Darkness Monster that it's overrated. Nothing about the series made me want to keep watching it and if season 1 was longer I probably wouldn't have finished it. And I have no interest in watching season 2. I'll give it a 6.

I think its a dope show but with my limited anime experience I'm going to give it an 8. I'm in the minority but I did enjoy season 2, especially with he introduction of other characters

2nd seasons was kind of a let down with the story, and a complete letdown with the animation. I had to power though it.

The first season was pure piff tho.

but first season is damn near the most faithful adaptation to an anime in history.

Fair point, mangaka was writing and drawing in what looked like flat out storyboards.

second season is like a 6 or a 7.
