Great artwork, great fight scenes, influenced a lot of other anime. Do I think it's a the level of Dragon Ball Z in terms of it's peaks, no. But I think it's right in the tier below it.

The Madhouse animation. The music when he says "I dont care anymore". The buildup and hints of goofy ass Gon's dark side all through the series up to that moment when he says "Thats it then...I'll just use everything". Few moments ever had me like

Yeah. It's a slow start. I would give it 10 episodes to really get a good feel of the show imo.Tried to start it, I don’t think I got past the second episode. I have faith it’ll be good, it just didn’t snatch me right away.
Gotta hold my judgement on this one.
