Rate this anime day 175: MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM: THE 08TH MS TEAM

I’ve done the orginal gundam, Gundam wing, blooded orphans, Mobile suit Gundam and now this.

The only one remaining is
MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM 00


Unless I’m missing one that was demanded.

OG Gundam is Mobile Suit Gundam.

The only other ones I could think of worth voting for are: Unicorn series and the Thunderbolt series.

I forgot Stardust Memory.

This is the only one i felt made the military aspect work.

The fights weren’t as kinetic cause they tried for kill shots.

Prolly just me but all these other series just hit harder than 8MST (other than 0080, a short-ass OVA, and 0083). Even G Gundam with pilots hitting Hadoukens was more enjoyable.

I don't know, maybe I just don't wanna see realistic giant mecha. It'd be like watching Star Wars with no lightsaber fights, just space bullets .

Outside of Thunderbolt, its the best complete Gundam run imo.

Gundam ground war was amazing and honestly the franchise should look to coming back to that kind of storytelling once in a while.

Got all hyped just to see his whole team put work in and Darryl is over there surfing under water dodging missiles.

The mobile suit makes the man

I didn't like Unicorn all that much but Banagher did grow on me a little bit.

They add just him to Hathaway and its all good.

50 years though

Still beats out Star Wars so

Darryl probably the only Zeon pilot i respect at this point
you gotta root for a nikka that has no arms and no legs and still survived the OYW


that nikka went out there in a Zaku 1 against a Full-Armor Gundam and lived
i cant think of nobody else pullin up like that.


the girly looking dude in Darryl's 2nd unit was the one piloting the PsycommU Zaku with the wire guided hands

^^ you gotta be a crazy newtype to even touch one of those,
he is really just sizing Darryl up when they go on the water mission


Unicorn was wacky but the suit designs was crazy
NT ruined its rep but it's still a higher-end Gundam show
i feel like Banagher has earned his keep at this point lol


if they put Boba Fett in S2 of The Mandalorian that will put it on par with Thunderbolt
but Star Wars aint gonna be shyt til nikkas get KK out the paint

yep

anytime they do ground combat you will get good animation.
bc they actually have to include fight-choreography on the ground.

it's cheaper/easier to animate space battles,
thats really the only knock on 0083.
