Seems like the leaker says 60+RT mode is the wave.

Honestly on a good TV sitting a few feet back resolution differences start to get smaller and smaller. On a PC screen up close it's easier to notice these things like for example when Crash Bandicoot 4 got updated on PS4 to the PS5 version it went from 1080P to 4K and It was hard to even see the difference unless I screenshotted the scene and swapped back and forth. In R&C it's dynamic 4K with 60fps/RT so it'll be even better.

Is the only difference between the modes resolution and nothing else?
If that's the case Insomniac set a new standard
I know performance RT has less RT too along w/ less resolution like in Spiderman MM
But if it's only lower resolution that's incredible when you look at the graphics of the game.
Has this been confirmed?

Apparently the ray traced reflections are rendered at a lower res but its not noticeable at all

Never played any R&Cs. Plan on playing this on PS5 within the month. Currently on TLoU2 PS5 playthrough.

Is it worth me playing (likely rushing) the 2016 release on PS4 before this? Or just go straight to this joint as my first in the series?

If playing the PS4 game is recommended, how long can I expect for a quick playthrough?

If you just playing right through without spending much time exploring, you could finish it before Friday with dedicated play.

Is it worth it? I mean, it is a really fun game and could give you a bit of a taste of what the series is like and what to expect of the new one. So...yeah, I'd say so, especially for someone new, it's a great starting point since it's technically a remake of the original game.

As for playthrough time, could be anywhere from 12-16 hours or so on normal setting. A lil longer on hard, if you're new to the series probably.

Would be cool if there's a segment in the game
where ratchet jumps through different universes that belong to
other Sony IP's , like uncharted or sly cooper.
