:ahh:
Ras talking about the Riiiot song with Chino and battling (not really battling) Big Pun >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Chino had lines for everybody on his first album. Pac, biggie, LL etc. But the thing about chino is that he views rap different, hr said numerous times that LL is one of his favorites but he still has a couple of bars in his albums about him.
Speaking abour that ras and chino joint, i think collabo where they are in the studio at the same time makes so much difference in terms of quality compared to the usual emailing verses which we get nowadays

Yeah. I used to feel like he was OD with it on his first album, but he was from the KRS-One school of thought where ALL mc's are in competition. Plus Chino's big enough to beat the dogshyt outta 95% of these little rap dudes, so you can't really run up on him like that.

Pep Love of Hiero did get over on Chino (lyrically) though

I'll make a issue out of that bytch, who tried to diss (WHO)
Thee invincible, Hieroglyphics crew
I'll grab that ass by that braid and shock you like Raiden
Wash you mouth out with dikk, and keep skating.... past
The irrelevant punk that pump fiction
But no, he don't want no friction

Agreed. Thought it was amazing

And they still didn't even touch on a lot of stuff

Yeah man they went straight from early-to-mid 90s to his latest work... not sure if this was a shorter podcast than they usually do (it feels like Ice T for example had a long episode). He's been doing a lot of things in the late 90s and early 2000s (working with Dre, the little beef with Alchemist, mixtapes with some great songs over the last decade that didn't get too much mainstream notice)

Man do you care to run down some of your favorite Ras Kass songs from the last decade? I actually stopped actively checking for Ras after "Institutionalized".

Yeah they skipped a lot I was interested in, but they still did a great job. I wanted to hear more about the making of SOI, label issues, Rassassination, DUI stuff, Golden State Warriors, how he linked with everyone, etc...but I won't complain because I thorough enjoyed it.

May not the 'legendary' level songs from earlier, but his collabs with Royce are dope

Actually these are two *very dope* songs from the past few years

Thanks! I appreciate the links, and feel free to share more if you like. I know I'm not the only one who hasn't been keeping up with Ras as much over the 2nd half (Almost 20 years in the game, WOW) of his career.

I never knew that. I've always thought him and 40 Glocc were cousins and thats where his dislike from Game came from
