I bought Chino's first album on cassette off the strength of this song cuz I was rhe biggest Ras Kass stan on Earth in 1996. And even though I fukked with Chino, I probably only played that album like 3 or 4 times. The remix/video version of "Creep" which was his best song wasn't even on the damn album .

It's kinda crazy how people can hear the same things and have different takes on it, cuz I listened to that track a zillion times before I heard Hit 'Em Up and I never took the line as being ultra-disrespectful. Everybody obviously looks at it like Chino is saying Pac got raped. I just took it as some throwaway line about anybody in prison worried and doing extra shyt not to get raped, and Pac was the celebrity inmate he chose since name drops were his rhyming gimmick.
