Rappers use the N word, but can't say "hebrew" in their lyrics

What kills me is the response by those other groups

" WE DON'T SAY THE N- WORD WITH ER AT THE END. WE SAY nikka "

You know they got that from that tupac interview clip, that's why they feel they can say it and nikkas so desperately want to fit in with other cultures they don't say shyt.

The same old puff daddy response " i feel like if it's in the music or a white person grow up in the hood it's ok "

I'm telling you avoid these type of hip hop loving, wanting acceptance type of nikkas

Its fine here and now to anonymously express dismay at the use of the n-word in the music.

But 25 years ago, C. Delores Tucker, Reverend Calvin Butts with his steamroller over rap cd's, and others were campaigning against the word, and all other types of profanity in the music.

C. Delores Tucker got Time Warner to divest of its interest in Interscope (not just Death Row) at its profitability height over negative lyrics and images.

Let's be clear: Luther Campbell, Ice T, Easy E, Cube, Ren, Dre, Tupac, Biggie, Russell Simmons, Puffy, Irv Gotti, The Source and the entire youth Hip Hop culture all led a movement for rappers to have the ability use the n-word and for absolute freedom of expression.

Prior to them, it wasn't like we heard shouts from the Four Tops, Berry Gordy, Holland-Dozier-Holland, and Gamble and Huff and the Sugarhill Gang fighting for the freedom to use the n-word in our music.

"stack chips like Hebrews" I never understood this..It gets censored when it's played.. I figure it's because jews ain't fukking around with the disrespect. OK cool, I can see that they ride strong for their people. Then I wonder why rappers don't use 'spic' in lyrics but then I figure it's because Latinos ain't having the disrespect and it's also alot of Latinos in Hiphop ie: DJ's. See where I'm going? Then it comes to nikkas, we use the word, we let others use the word etc etc. I don't wanna beat a dead horse but I got to ask y'all why...

I welcome the views and opinions of the coli's c00ns and militants. You know who you are...
It's not really some amazing discovery.

People need to love and respect themselves. A lot of Black people don't do either.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
You're being too prideful

The music industry made this problem

Never said we can't do anything about it

But that's what you're reading
We been callin eachother nikka since WAY before hip hop. Literally fukkin decades before hip hop. Hip hop artists just brought the block to the music. Period. Thats like saying muthafukkas didnt curse or swear before Hip Hop because music in general was less vulgar when it came to lyrics. No. Hip hop just brought that REAL LIFE vulgarity to the music.

A lot of folks did say "F C. Delores Tucker" back then.

But we shouldn't act all brand new now like we didn't have rappers on one side advocating for widespread use of the word, and older folks on the other side against it.

Breh you don't know how bad it is until you at the club and see cacs sing word for word with no pause or hesitation when the N word comes up in a rap lyric. If not at the door im by th DJ booth and my fist are clenched and teeth grinding when a song like this comes on. I become more hostile and aggressive with cacs/Latinos at this point ... The DJ is always Italian or latino bumping it hard

Check out Prostyle. @ 7:11, he says the N word freely but he a Latino DJ on 105.1

I know how bad it is. But that is THEIR problem and they have to deal with the consequences of their disrespect that comes their way.

As they should have.
