Wait so this was on Worldstar before he became Pop Smoke?

The video I saw didn't look bad - 3 youths in NYC, one gets smacked in the face - but didn't look that hard.

If true you make a valid point. But he was just trying to protect himself later on.

You could tell he had heart.

:mjtf:
That video was very bad.
They cornered him, made him throw up his set, stomped on his necklace, slapped him, then uploaded it on the internet for posterity.

Held that L for years before he could get some type of revenge

The dude was also violent gangbanging criminal that made shytty and destructive music. An overall net negative. I'm sure his family and loved ones misses him but to the larger society nothing of any real value was lost. I hate to say it but it is what it is. He's just another statistic that will be forgotten in no time. I've seen flash in the pan nikkas like him come and go over my years.
His music was slowly starting to move away from that hyper gangbanging and violent shyt. :francis:Compare his new tape to his old one. The content was definitely toned down and even the beats weren't as dark as before.
Regardless, dude was only 20. Dude wasn’t even out of his environment for a full year, didn’t get a fair chance to evolve. You can even see on his recent interviews he was starting to open up compared to his older ones from last year where he would mumble and give one word answers. shyt is fukked up. :francis:

I'm very angry about this.
I just want to say that the more days that passed, the more I'm angry at his killer(s)
And the more hurt I feel. Pop Smoke was special man. I saw the video of that dude slapping him as a kid. Pop just seemed like a genuinely pure kid - and dude who made dope music. I also liked his style. He wore dope clothes. Dope voice, dope live shows packed.

We need to do better brehs.

fukk this bullshyt and more rap kids dying.
Did we not learn from the fukking two pillars of rap? Pac and Big?

Keep it on fukking wax and get away from the streets.

But Pop was away, that's what's so fukking scary.

fukk the violence. Rap was intended to stop the Violence.

R.i.p Pop Smoke. And everyone here love your loved ones, feel their love and make it a dope week.

Nice message. But you not putting any culpability on Pop ruins it for me.
He did SOMETHING to warrant that extreme reaction.

But unfortunately, he fell victim to what a lot of us black men fall victim to; I'm tough, I'm hard, can't nobody fukk with me.
The black man's pride is responsible for a lot of death n prison time.

Yea, I noticed this too. His earlier interviews he seemed a bit detached and gave short answers. His charisma and personality started to show in his more recent appearances, like the Angie interview. Bro was a baby and didn't get the chance to fully evolve as a man and artist. fukked up.

I’ve been wondering why no prominent people in NY haven’t been speaking up for pop

If someone like roddy rich got killed in NY Snoop, wack, big u etc would be demanding answers

edit: the way blueface reacted to pops murder just shows you how these dudes feel about nyers

What did Blueface say?

No one in NY is speaking up against blue face because he didn’t say nothing wrong. He wasnt even shytting on Pop or other NY rappers he was just saying, get situated before you arrive.

Blueface a clown and was probably the wrong messenger but he didn’t say nothing wrong or was trying to put anyone down.

idk if anybody posted this but I noticed in the beginning of this video the nikka with fivio said "pop died over a car"

if its true that the dude whose rolls royce he supposedly stole got him killed then damn, I dont get why he'd cooperate with the feds to get him indicted just to put a hit out on him afterwards tho

I’m wondering why people ain’t speaking up in general

and mind you blueface said that when everybody still thought it was a robbery

how you say some shyt like that right after an out of town nikka gets killed in a robbery :childplease:

that’s damn near gloating to me

now if it turns out pop died cuz he stole from the wrong people then it is what it is but even then I still think nikkas violated

side note but I’m wondering if pop tried to ship the car back to ny to bust it down for the parts and tell dude someone stole it

350k car the parts gotta be worth a good chunk of change

still a dumb idea but nothing else makes sense to me

People not speaking up cuz pop really just came and went. Not in a disrespectful way but it’s not like he was an integral part of this rap shyt. He was heading that way but he hadn’t made his full blown arrival yet. If something happened to roddy rich was moving reckless and got hit in NY I don’t think it’d be as many people speaking up as you think
