When I read about the news, my exact words were "WTF That was too soon" I liked the dude as well he seemed laid back. I didn't expect a home invasion you don't really here of people being killed during a home invasion in the west. I wonder if this invasion was because of a street beef.

Folk don't usually die in home invasions because the fiends are just looking for money and jewels. They don't want to catch no bodies and add to the evidence and their sentence. Not to mention cops work way harder to solve a murder than to solve a burglary. The primary reason you gonna get shot during a home invasion is if the fiends feel threatened, and most folk in Cali ain't gonna be packing heat like that. Makes me wonder if he pulled on them.

Pop Smoke Murder Appeared to be Target Hit, Not Robbery


Pop Smoke's death wasn't a robbery gone wrong ... it was a targeted hit ... and that conclusion is supported by surveillance video.

People who have seen the surveillance footage from outside the Hollywood Hills home where Pop was killed Wednesday morning tell us ... you see 4 men approach the home at around 4:30 AM and sneak around back.

A couple minutes pass before 3 of the 4 walk back up the side of the home to the front. The 4th apparently walked in the backdoor but no camera was trained on it. The next time you see the man, he exits through the front door of the house.

As we reported, multiple shots were fired inside the home and they only struck Pop Smoke, who was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

At first, it seemed like it might have been a robbery because the rapper posted a photo earlier in the day of a bunch of gifts ... one of which had his home address emblazoned on it. He also posted another pic hours before the shooting of himself and a friend in a car .. the friend is holding an enormous amount of cash.

But, here's the thing. The folks who have seen the surveillance video tell us the person inside the house -- presumably the shooter -- did not carry anything out. Given that he shot someone, it's doubtful he would take the time to stuff items in his pocket.

From the limited info released seems like someone he knew (probably from the party earlier) ran in the crib. Had him at gun point, made him call somebody in NY for whatever reason (ransom payment? ) and shyt went left. Person on the phone called police. Assailants ran off.

Where and how many times he was shot would help. Was he robbed or was his jewelry and cash accounted for. Who was on the phone...etc hopefully the police tries to solve this instead of letting it go cold since it's a young rapper with gang ties

Breh its a gang of NY transplants that live out here either for work or school or whatever. LA has people/transplants from all over the world just like NY does. Don't confuse real life people going about their day to day with rappers and entertainers who have to maintain an image, flash jewels, be that dude, etc. Can we please separate the two on the Coli for once? I live in Inglewood and I know NY's and people from all over the US out here. No problems whatsoever unless that individual want's that smoke. attention, heat, and lifestyle.
