Rap is promoted as a "keeping it real" artform rooted in authenticism. It kills me when fools say "its just entertainment". No its not. Movies and games are entertainment/fantasy and its promoted as such. Arnold, Denzel, and DeNiro can kill all the people they want onscreen but we KNOW they are just acting. Are people influenced by movies and games? Of course, but its not packaged as "real". Rap, on the other hand is a different story. If rap is "just entertainment" tell me why there was such an uproar when it was found out that Ross was a C.O or dudes claiming that Wayne isnt really gangbanging like that. Who cares? Its just entertainment right? Who cares that Kendrick Lamar may be an "industry plant"? Its "just entertainment" right?
