Must've been wildly small-time then for 20 years, because I never seen or heard of them til maybe 2010ish? Doesn't really add up. Who were the rappers they used in 1994? Seems like it would've at least gotten a little Source article back then.. hip hop "products" were scarce.. and would've garnered some publicity. Not hating, but I don't believe the 30 year thing for one sec. Show me a picture of bags of Rap Snacks from the 90s. I'll wait... Oldest ones I can think of ever seeing were like Lil Romeo and shyt..
Yeah according to this article they were only available in Philadelphia, Baltimore, and DC in very limited markets there for most of their history

They also were branded with their mascot, "MC Potato," and didn't get play with actual artists (and publicity) until Master P and Romeo came along circa 2007

Did you grow up in Idaho?
Corny. Born and raised in Miami, lived in Clinton Hill area Brooklyn NYC for 10 years. Never saw a Rap Snack until them Lil Romeo and Master P shyts, maybe late 00's. But my bad, you're the all-city, all knowing, street corner store aficionado that been off the porch since 7.. you out here... and you been munching on Rap Snacks since Tone Loc was on the bag. The rest of us are the lames that didn't hear of Rap Snacks until 15 years ago. Got it. :palm:

Ahh OK, so only regional for the early years with no rappers on the bag. Makes sense no one heard of them until they started getting rappers on the bags.

30 years?

And damn I thought Master P owned it, I been blaming the wrong nikka for peddling chips and sodas with more sodium and sugar than leading brands in the hood using entertainers faces to lure.

I fukk with them Lil Baby “All Ins” though :wow:
