You could make a strong argument for Migos as well

You can’t have a 2010s with

Drake
Future
Kendrick
Cole
Nicki
Migos

they all belong on there
You could make the argument that Migos is more influential than the rest of em tbh. They even had R&B singers jack their flow
:heh:
But usually these things are about solo artists

Underground is Roc, Gibbs, Benny and Conway.

@spliz would you put Spitta on there?

I feel like Gunn should be on there to, what he just did with Mach Hommy speaks to his ability to put people in the zone and make classics.
Gotta have Spitta in there. I’d have him in there way before any of the Griselda dudes who I fukk with but didn’t make any kinda noise until the last years of the decade. Spitta was consistent the whole decade. I’d put Gibbs at the top tho

Future or ye
But most likely future since he was hot most of the 2010s

After yeezus kanye's musical relevance started fading

No, given all these rappers be singing, whether a hook or a few songs per album, it’s part of the 10’s style.
Are you saying that when rappers make an R&B or pop song singing the whole song it’s actually a rap song because they are rappers?

I agree it’s part of the style, but I guess where we differ is that the style is to make songs in a different genre.

that would be like saying when Michael Jordan retired from basketball to go play baseball he was actually playing basketball because he’s a basketball player.

no, where did did i even allude to that? :what: i said these dudes be singing, j cole struggle sings 70% of his hooks, you dont need to hold it against them as even some of the most lyrical rappers sit around singing on their shyt (phonte, ab soul). bone thugs, 50, and Ja blurred these lines, it is what it is

I think I'll go with Future for the fourth spot, even before he came back with a bang with the mixtape run starting with Monster dude was featured on every song for a hot minute. Plus the sound and influence is hard to ignore. The top 3 is not debatable, these guys have ran the 2010's whether y'all :flabbynsick: and contrarian dudes like it or not. I'm a Nipsey fan but nikkas talking about him and Gibbs:mjlol:

I’m not talking about rapping three verses and singing the hook. And you’re right that Bone particularly had a singing/rapping style. There is definitely a lot of gray area with.

but if you’ve got a song with nothing but singing. No rapping at all. That’s pretty black and white. That’s not rap.

and i never said it was, nor did i allude to that. i'm not even sure why you pulled that into the convo. i said as much in saying gambino aint on rap's mt rushmore given his (chart/award) success as an artist was a funk album, no mixing of the two anywhere to be found on it.
