Perception is everything, and with attacking any form of rap, they feel as if you're attacking their own identity. I've felt the same. It's a result of programming. Programming so devious most people can't differ between it and what is divine/natural anymore. The program becomes their reality.
With that said, rap is far from the root of the problem, but with it being seen as a "way out" or "holy grail" for so many of our children, add in the subject matter, what y'all think the results will be when the Afro American family is already fragmented?
