Lol ain’t nothing wrong with Craven’s production at all. Ransom sounds perfect over it and it’s a fresh sound for him

Exactly, you can't please some people, you'll never please everybody, but facts are the projects with Craven have gotten him the most acclaim he's gotten in the longest period. He may have signed to 38 Spesh now (he's at least working heavily with them), the work with Craven was directly responsible for that, his renaissance was because of that work, so throwing it in the bin to please people who largely weren't fukking with him much prior would be madness. The chemistry with Craven is when things started to finally click with him consistently because it brought his bars out and it sounded a lot better than SOME of his old records where he sounding too gruff delivery wise to the point where he sounded unatural. Greatest Rapper Alive in 2017 was also a dope project that I fukked with but his work with Craven is his most critically acclaimed and liked work. Keep that going for as long as possible, if he wants to expand on that great, but don't lose that cause that's what got him a seat at the table again.

it wasnt because of Craven though. it was because the Griselda era brought back Ran and he is vicious. he doing to Craven what DMX did for Swizz. he dont need Craven to do that shyt...:mjlol: he produced Pride, a joint most people would prob think Craven did. Director's Cut series was good but mainly due to the lyrics. It had no reply at all for me.

agreed

I’ve always liked Ran, but he’s always been the type of guy that has good songs scattered across different projects that you had to pick out, and then create your own playlist IMO.

The Craven albums were projects that I felt were solid all the way through. There is a reason these albums brought him the most attention in his career.

I enjoy soulful beats, and hope he keeps spitting over them.

It was largely in part to the work from Craven and Ransom together. And that’s fine if you don’t like it, but most people do and rated it very highly. People started fukking with him a lot more because of how well that series with Ransom and Craven was received. There’s a market for that sound and it suits his style, which is why it caught on. He’s always been a good rapper but his work with Craven is probably his most critically acclaimed work ever thus far. As somebody else said, he’s always been talented but he found something that worked for him and most people were feeling.

I don't really like Craven, but the bolded is why I really liked Ran's projects with Craven. At least it was a solid sound, and it created a lot of consistency. And the instrumentals at least did a god job of playing the background and letting Ran be the star of the show. I'm a production head. Everyone in The Booth knows that. But in this instance I think Ran really carried the production.

When Jadakiss said "Ya'll use beats for help. We help the beats." I think that statement is almost never accurate. But it perfectly applies to Ransom and Craven.
