Better than Pusha’s album.

This is exactly how I feel. Dude is very blandAfter spinning this, I just wish Ran switched it up with the cadence or energy. I love the bars but it’s something missing that allows you to connect to the artist. Maybe it’s the content or flow that’s repetitiveOne song ends after a bunch of bars, we get a small space and right back into a bunch of similar bars with the same exact tone, flow and energy.
Something has been amiss ever since Clue. The first standout for me was Pain and I think he keeps trying to make that same song.

Really like the album but kind of agree. First few listens felt refreshing to hear good old fashioned hip hop with the emphasis is on bars, lyricism, gimmick free. But didn't feel that inspired to revisit for some reason. Spinning it as we speak and could've used more variation, both sonically and far as flows and approaches.
Still a dope album though, and easy on the ears. Appreciate that Ransom, lyrical as he is, never come off like he trying to hard. Never crams too many syllables into a bar or forces a punch line. So many rappers who pride themselves on lyricism fall into lyrical miracle stunt rapping that ignores the songwriting component
