Random comparison, but would you take Tarantino's filmography above his?

Personally yes, not even close.

Not saying I am head over heels in love with all of his films but his top 3-4 shyts on Nolan's whole career.

Haven't seen following or insomnia yet, but I feel like there's a severe disparity between the enjoyment I had in the movies ranked 1-4 and 5-8. It's either I loved them, or I thought they were mediocre as hell. Maybe Dunkirk will grow on me, but that story is so terrible. He still one of the GAWDs tho

Batman Begins higher than TDK?

Not objectively, which is why I made two lists. But, for me, I like it more. I even referenced it in my Grad school admissions essay. It was my favorite movie for like 10 years. So it jumps ahead of The Dark Knight despite being an "inferior" movie. There's an idea for a thread.

The Dark Knight is absolute perfection from start to finish. Cannot say enough about that film.

I used to watch those old film noir flicks with my uncle when I was a kid. Gave me an appreciation for the genre.

I was introduced to Nolan when I first saw The Prestige. Loved the film because it’s tone reminded me of those old classics I used to watch.
I was OBSESSED with Inception for the same reason. I hadn’t
It wasn’t until I was literally floored after watching TDK that I realized Nolan had directed all of them and that I was drawn to his style.
