'What if I told you I want to see a T.O. version'
'What if I told you it would be the best NFL 30/30 yet..'
i just watched this 30 for 30 and reading this thread and all i have to say about this post isOk, then explain why Carter led the team in receptions for Moss' first 3 seasons. Let's be real here, Moss was an extremely good deep threat his first couple of seasons and not much more than that. You wouldnt see them throw many passes to him other than bombs and screens, he just wasn't the type to go over the middle and take hits at the time. Everyone needs to stop saying "Carter cant touch Moss", Carter is a fukking Hall of Famer and one of the best receivers of the previous generation point blank Lets compare Moss' and Carter's 1998-00 seasons
Carter
1998: 78 rec, 1011 yds, 12 TDs
1999: 90 rec, 1241 yds, 13 TDs
2000: 96 rec, 1274 yds, 9 TDs
Moss
1998: 69 rec, 1313 yds, 17 TDs
1999: 80 rec, 1413 yds, 11 TDs
2000: 77 rec, 1437 yds, 15 TDs
So in a nutshell, Carter was still the team's most reliable receiver, and this was when he was 33, 34, and 35 respectively. Moss got yards, I won't argue against that. But such a high percentage of plays designed to go to him were designed deep balls, which explains how he got his yards. Why do you think Carter was the one that was picked as a First Team All Pro in 1999, while Moss wasnt even on an All-Pro Team? Carter was still one of the NFL's receptions leaders well into his 30s, and Moss was a bit of a gimmick at that point in time in his career
Wish they expanded more on that. Shyt is a 30 for 30 in its own rightSingleton
