When you hit on a QB, more often than not, you know immediately!
That doesn’t mean he’s a superstar from day 1, but he’s not terrible. He’s above average. He shows QB competency and flashes of regular QB progression and puts up yards. He doesn’t need to rely on excuses. Like bruh, Joe Burrow wasn’t murdered by that o-line his first few years?! Didn’t matter
fukk the excuses! When a QB is bad it’s always the same shyt ‘it’s a new offense….uh, they got a new OC…da weapons…they’re gonna get that “kid” killed. Man if you start hearing those keywords and folk start calling your QB a ‘kid’, RUN. It is not gonna go well.
Everyone is trying to find the next Josh Allen who went from terrible to elite but that is an anomaly. 9/10 if he’s bad to start and is still bad in year 2 and for fields YEAR 3?!?! He’s just bad! Enough /rant

Pat got with theee qb whisperer and good talent, pat had the skills Andy put it together
Dak is on a team with an shyt Ton of talent
Brock is with another qb whisperer with talent and he wasn’t a slouch
We did JF no favors and maybe he needs a new start, and maybe he not it, but i refuse to say objectively he was in a position to thrive when the oc decides to do back to back screens in the shadow of our goal
That don’t even matter bruh. Every failed QB has an excuse. It does not matter. Special ones—-or at least the ones that hit—-plow through it
And actually, nah that’s BS that he wasn’t/isn’t in position to thrive. If Justin fields was playing good you could easily point to him as one of those good examples: Got him a #1 WR DJ Moore. He has Darnell Mooney. He has Cole Kmet. They spent money on the defense (#1 run D) Jaylon Johnson playing at a pro bowl level.…and then added Montez sweat
Also CJ Stroud completely blows the excuses out the water. Terrible franchise. Defensive head coach. Mid RBs. A 3rd round 5’8 rookie as his #1. Also Nico a WR who no one else could do anything with but is now thriving as his #2. Plowed right thru the ready made excuses and he elite.
Also a very telling lil nugget that people may not realize: how could fields hit Mooney as a decent #1 option but he can’t do shyt as a #2? It’s bc Fields can’t see the entire field. He can hit DJ his #1 read , but he can’t hit nobody else unless it’s his safety blanket Kmet. Good QBs don’t have that problem. Even Sam Howell doesn’t have that problem

ALSO…OCs don’t implement certain schemes for certain QBs bc the QB can’t run it.
