The Yay
Just a refresher a sampling of the selections ahead of Mahomes in the 2017 draft

Bears and 49ers is egregious if you ask me both then and now

Chicago - Mitchell Trubisky borderline out of the league
SF - Solomon Thomas - rotational player always been average
Jacksonville - Leonard Fournette - practice squad/out of the league
Tennesse - Corey Davis - retired early
NYJ - Jamal Adams - injuries derailed a once promising career
Cincinnati - John Ross - :mjlol:
imagine when you have no qb on your team and you have #3 pick you dont even evaluate any qbs because cousins is a FA next year

then you go and trade three first picks four years later to get to the same spot you were in four years ago..... only to fukk up royally by choosing a raw raw project

cant make this shyt up :mjcry:

hindsight is a motherfukker because Mahomes wasn't on anyone's radar like that til RIGHT before the draft because nobody was tryna draft a Big XII QB. Watson was always viewed as the guy everyone fukked up on. Mahomes was always the "if he hits, it'll be incredible but let's be real, he plays in a gimmicky ass offense."

Can't lump the Jets into this because Adams was an all-pro safety.

Yeah that’s why I said injuries derailed a once promising career.

Sad what happened to Jamal.

But the Bears were the ones post draft that everyone instantly was like wtf since they didn’t draft Watson.

Deebo 11 targets for only 3 catches 33 yards

Mcduffy had buddy in jail

I’m disappointed in nggas. All the focus on Purdy being a ‘system’ QB bc of Shanahan….meanwhile Deebo a whole ass RB who needs to be schemed open :sas2:

Fake ass All-Pro.

Can't even run routes to get actual separation.

They had Hoyer and Matt Barkley on the roster but passed on Mahomes AND Watson :mjpls:

Then the guy they selected at #3 was a bust, they didn't get Cousins, and had to trade for Jimmy G:mjlol:

where the money coming from kc fans

They have $52 million in cap space for 2024. MVS will be cut clearing $12 million. They can cut Reid and clear up 11 mil. Sneed will probably be franchised.

Michael Irvin is so underrated as a WR. He lost much time due to an initial blown ACL, which set him back, and then rhe suspension and of course the career ending neck injury. As a result of all those hardships, he only played like 10 seasobs worth of games. For the 7 years that he played an entire season, he averaged
86 receptions for 1,332 yards and 7 td. Wow!! This is despite Emmitt taking away alot of his td opportunities, running the ball while up ahead and a lack of prolific attempts/yards by his QB(by that era's standards)
