I respect Vrabel and while I think he deserves and will get another shot, the history revisionism over him is wild. He's had two losing seasons in a row, including losing 18 of his last 24 games. You can't name another coach with that type of record who would have establishment and analytics NFL dudes all acting like Kyle Shanahan got fired or something.
Also the fact that he didn't get a job in such a wide open hiring cycle should also tell us something.
Now just wasnt the cycle for "Belichick type" type coaches. He'll take a year off (maybe), or get his coordinator on, and next year when everyone does this whole song and dance again, the drum will beat even louder. Absence makes the heart grow fonder as we saw with Gruden being MIA then coming byke, and he's already getting the love that will carry over into the "mystique" u need sometimes.
Don't regret his time here with Titans. Just was time to move on and take a risk to come out of the stone ages playing wise, analytic wise, drafting wise etc.
