Malone is a very stubborn coach, Booth didn’t execute his vision of developing young players while Jokic was in his prime well, but Pickett showed signs this season of being a contributor. Malone just wanted to rely on Westbrook longer than he should have.

Booth traded a first rounder to get a late first and two 2nds to take strawther Pickett and Hunter Tyson, and Malone fukkin hated Pickett. Didnt play him at all last year or at the beginning of this year. Finally had to play him right before all star break and he played well enough to keep himself in the lineup.
