I mean yea, if I was OKC’s gm I’d overpay a bit (in draft capital/young guys) for Cam Johnson.

Let’s say Caruso (always injured) and Chet (you never know) aren’t available this post-season… you likely still win the west with SGA/JDubb/Dort/Cam/IHart

Unless they’re really hoping a team with a big fish like Anthony Davis or Giannis crashes out in these playoffs and becomes available but that’d be a bad gamble imo.

That can happen and OKC still wouldn’t make an move. Presti doesn’t make win now moves. He makes presence the future moves. Presti could’ve gotten KAT if he really wanted to. He can make a better package for any star who needs out a situation than any other gm, outside of maybe Houston

That’s tragic. They’re honestly over-relying on SGA right now; it’s fine for this year, since securing legacy-defining accolades like league mvp + the scoring title are worth running on fumes on a depleted roster for… but gotta make his life easier next year. Time will tell if their current roster (fully healthy) can be good and durable enough for that

Keeping all those picks and "assets" is sheer arrogance. The point of accumulating all that capital is to build a contender. Well, they have a contender. Now, it's time to support the talent in place so they have the best possible chance to win a title.

SGA, Chet, iHart and JDub is the core. Everyone and everything else is expendable.
