If you mean the year embiid won it, Jokic was still a heavy favorite after that game. Embiid won it when the nuggets decided to shut it down with a month and a half left in the season because they had the 1 seed locked up.

denver had a bad stretch in march where they lost 5 or 6 leading up to the final straw poll that essentially had the mvp race a dead heat. then there was that bad stretch you mentioned to close out the regular season. i really think it was the voter fatigue/anti jokic/pro embiid pr campaign that is the biggest reason embiid won in a landslide. having said that all the votes have been landslides for a long time. since shaq got 45.6% of the 1st place votes for mvp the 1st year nash won it in 2004-05 no player who finished 2nd has even gotten 35% of the 1st place votes. even more staggering is every 2nd place finisher since 07-08 has gotten less than 30 1st place votes.

based on their seasons sga vs jokic should be really close, or based on recent history it will be a landslide.
