SGA just packed up Tatum and a fully suited up Boston squad, and still without his 2nd best player. This has been a ridiculous MVP stretch for ol buddy.

It's why i was tellin nyggas, if OKC is healthy i like how they match up with Boston. Defensively they are with the shyts.

Big picture wise i do feel OKC is a year away bc i think Chet is going to be great, i'm talkin great-value wemby with a yellow light at a minimum. But that may not be this year, especially with the injury

Boston did have some poor possessions and missed open shots, but when they did try to generate offense by going inside, OKC turned them away almost every single time in the second half.

Their defense is just that damn good.

Even the subtle things, like how Dort sells on the PnR, forcing refs to call an offense foul. Or that Wallace guy has his hands on every drive and passing lane. It disrupts the flow.

Once they get Chet back, who was lookin like an early DPotY type candidate, it'll be interesting what they look like defensively when they pair up Chet and IHart.

Reigning champs, you supposed to be an offensive juggernaut, figure the shyt out

There’s no defense in basketball history good enough to where a 27 point half is the best you can hope for

I get that but once that avalanche of defensive momentum was generated, it was hard for Boston to get into any sort of rhythm.

JB couldn't move whenever he put the ball on the floor; they were getting pushed off their spots below the elbows; called for offensive fouls; getting blocked at the rim, constantly; dribbling into help defenders, constantly.

OKC have done that to every team this season, so I wouldn't deem it as some unexpected event or outlier, because it's really been the norm for them, especially when they're at home.
